OS 10.5 - Major problems wth dock in Leopard

Not sure why this is happening but about two weeks ago I had my hard drive replaced cuz it crapped out on me. I went and upgraded to Leopard at the same time. My dock was working just fine I was able to add and remove apps and so on right click yadda yadda and about a week ago suddenly I couldn't remove apps or right click when I remove them the dock resets and comes back exactly the same way and it's driving me crazy! If anyone else has or had this problem and knows of a way to fix it PLEASE let me know...Thanks in advance!

So what method did u use to get your data from original HD to the replacement one. Not sure you have spelled out enuff detail of the change sequence between as it was to where it is now.

Unfortunately my old hard drive completely died and they were unable to do any sort of data recovery on it. So they just swapped it out for a brand new one and installed Tiger on it then a few days later I upgraded to Leopard. So yeah there's nothing from the old drive on there whatsoever

Often times downloading the Combo updater and putting that across what you have now will sort the issue - be advised it is a Big Bugger tho

The combo update will update your system to the most recent version of OS X. You can get the update through Software Update.

When you mean reset, do you mean that if you are able to remove/add things, the dock resets back to the default? Have you been messing with Parental Controls lately? Does your account have admin rights?

yeah my software is all up to date and I haven't changed any settings as far as accounts or parental controls and I'm the only person who uses my computer.

what I mean by reset is lets say I have 10 apps in my dock...if I drag one out to remove it it goes away but then my dock disappears and comes back with the app back in the dock and nothing has changed and I can't right click anywhere in the dock anymore but when I first switched to leopard it was working fine
