Every once in a while when I boot my computer the opening login screen is much bigger than it normaly is. Once I log in, it is as if I have the wrong monitor settings on my screen. Everything is massive and chunky. I have to restart the computer to make it go away. Any ideas?

what os are you running and what are your hardware specs? regardless, I think you need to at least reset your pram, possibly repair permissions if resetting the ram doesnt work.
