Just spent a couple of hours restarting, resetting, force quitting and relaunching finder to no avail. iMac still wouldn't work. I could move the cursor but not open anything. Finally I opened the wireless mouse, took out the battery, replaced it and voila computer up and running as normal. Hope this saves someone else a lot of time and trouble!! Remember the mouse!!
QUOTE Thanks
