I have a G4 iBook 1.2 mHz with 1.2 gig memory. I just bought a full copy of Leopard and want to upgrade from Panther.
As I type this, I'm backing up my entire HD onto a LaCie external firewire drive, via SuperDuper. My plan is to do a clean erase/install of Leopard. My question is, presumably SuperDuper restores my backed up files in a similar fashion to backing them up. However, when I boot up with Leopard, SuperDuper won't be on my iBook anymore. Do I simply access the external drive and launch SuperDuper from there? Thanks in advance. |

Just for the sake of asking, why are you doing a clean install? Archive and Install puts a brand new copy of the OS on the drive and pulls your profile(s) into it. It also leave the old OS on the drive so that you retrieve anything you may have stored elsewhere and the delete it at your leisure.
