MacBook - Need help with language of Mac OS

Hey there i am purchasing off my chinese friend her white macbook intel core 2 duo. She is chinese and bought it from China how ever when i reinstall with the installation disks will i be able to set it as english. the writing on the disk is in english also. Will i be covered under apples warranty here in the uk also has it is less than a year old?

I don't know about transferring the warranty and registering it in the UK, for that you'll have to inquire of Apple.

During the installation of OS X (using the original install media) you can specify which language to use.

Yes, you can choose language. If she has had it for less than a year, which she probably hasn't, then you can buy AppleCare at an Apple store.
