Obviously so weird no one could answer. Well just in case anyone googles this problem and finds it here looking for an answer I now have it and it worked:
I would advise a full backup before using either Terminal or modifying a System Folder. This command will do both. Open terminal, paste in the following command: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user and then log out and in. Simple! |
