for some reason my imac isnt picking up my nokia 7610 when i connect it via USB , any reason why?

mate my connection to my M$ machine is pretty tempremental so just get a media reader if you only want to install stuff on the phone, other wise use BT

nope isync doesnt support 7610. my old 6600 is supported but not the 7610

i dont get it, they are both series 60 phones with symbian OS on. whats up with mac os x not supporting all phones like pc's do?

Thats coz iSync has to be constantly updated to keep up with new mobile phones being released. I do know its series 60, but still, each model has a unique identifier. iSync is not updated very frequently, so support for newer mobile phones is pathetic on a Mac. Support is better on a PC coz Nokia themselves release the PC program, whereas here, Apple has to do that job. Nokia has no active support mechanism for a Mac.
