Hello,
I am trying to search through some files on my external drive via the search bar on a Finder window while viewing the external HD folder I wish to search, not through spotlight(cmd+space) or while viewing a local folder. 0 results appear unless I index the entire drive via the Spotlight preferences. Is there a way to temporarily search an external drive without it being indexed? If not, does Spotlight re-index my drive each and every time I connect it and will those results be displayed even when the drive is disconnected? (indexing now still) Thanks! |
