.mcw files

I have some .mcw files I need to open. I have an imac with OS X. I am a complete novice when it comes to Macs! How can I open these files and is it possible to convert them to .doc or .rtf?

Ive never heard of .mcw, is that M$ word, if so, itll open in text edit.
