    Hello There,

I need to install packages on my mac from the terminal.

Specifically i need to install nmap library.
is there any command to directly search for the required package and install it?

There is no need to install nmap from the terminal. Installers are available for OSX. Check for directions - here.

If you want to compile from source, those instructions are there also.

In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
