I have an imac G5 running Panther 10.3.9. I wish to purchase an Elgato Eyetv product but it stipulates a minimum requirement of 10.4.11. I also own an ibook G4 which has Tiger 10.4.11. Is it possible to use the OS disks which came with the ibook to upgrade my imac to 10.4.11? Is it a straight forward procedure as I have little hair to spare? Any responses greatly appreciated.

You will need to purchase a full retail install Tiger DVD. Make sure it is a black disc and not the system restore discs such as you have which are grey. These are strictly model specific ONLY.
