Sharing Optical Drives

Is it possible to share CD/DVD drives over a network with OS X (10.2.6)? If it is possible, than can this shared drive be accessed by my XP machine?

Setting up file sharing (both ways) and printing from XP to my USB printer connected to my G4 Cube has been a piece of cake (except for a little hiccup editing a samba config file). I was hoping that sharing the optical drives would be just as easy.
QUOTE Thanks
