Hi,
I have been using my iMac G5 PPC for a while now and this is the first time I have truly had trouble with it. For some reason my computer demands almost daily for me to "restart my computer." Upon restart I get an error says "the Mac OSX quit unexpectedly. Would you like to report?" I have tried resetting PRAM, clearing cache, cookies, and virus scanned my computer but none of that works. I have also checked to make sure my CPU and other fans are running but they are. I also disconnected all of my external harddrives. I have come to a conclusion that I don't know what else there is for me to do... I have copied the Problem Details from the report but do not know enough to make heads or tails of them. Quote:

Woke up this morning with instead of any request to restart, just a black screen. For some reason the white light in the bottom right corner of my iMac was on and a constant loud humming noise from the computer... Could this be the hard drive getting hung up/breaking down?
This is really aggravating!!!
