Hi,
I have been using my iMac G5 PPC for a while now and this is the first time I have truly had trouble with it.

For some reason my computer demands almost daily for me to "restart my computer." Upon restart I get an error says "the Mac OSX quit unexpectedly. Would you like to report?"


I have tried resetting PRAM, clearing cache, cookies, and virus scanned my computer but none of that works. I have also checked to make sure my CPU and other fans are running but they are. I also disconnected all of my external harddrives. I have come to a conclusion that I don't know what else there is for me to do...

I have copied the Problem Details from the report but do not know enough to make heads or tails of them.

Woke up this morning with instead of any request to restart, just a black screen. For some reason the white light in the bottom right corner of my iMac was on and a constant loud humming noise from the computer... Could this be the hard drive getting hung up/breaking down?

This is really aggravating!!!
