i recently bought a macbook off ebay. it is in great conditiona nd i got it cheap, however it had two partitions, one about 200gb and one about 25gb. anyway i did a system restore but i still have two partitions after formatting. how do i delete it and make it only one volume after restore? thanks in advance.

Been a while since I've done this, but I believe this is it…
Boot from the restore disc. Select Disk Utility from the Installer menu. Select your hard drive Click on the "Partition" tab. Click on drop down menu under "Volume Scheme" and select "1 Partition". Select "Apply". I don't remember if you have to do an erase, but you will be able to tell. Now do your restore. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow. |
