OK, I am not sure when this problem started, but my internet performance in OS X (Safari or Leopard and even iTunes Downloads) has got pretty poor. It's characterised by lag when I change websites, but when it finally starts loading the page, it's fairly quick.

What's weird is that in Windows running under Parallels, there is no issue. So my web browsing is now faster under IE7 on WinXP under parallels than on Safari under OS X. This happens whether or not the virtual machine is running.

Any ideas?

Any changes to your DNS settings in OS X?

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Did you try another browser in OSX? Try firefox and see if it does the same thing.

Not that I can see.

Yes, I use Firefox and Safari interchangably, and both are poor although if you pressed me on it, I would say Firefox is marginally faster.

But seeing IE 7 blow both of them away, from WinXP in a virtual machine, is scary..!
