I am bringing in my Mac for work tonight and need to back some stuff up. in case they screw something up or just give me a new Macbook. I have one external hard drive which I already use as a photo archive (I'm a photographer). I guess Time Machine backs up EVERYTHING, even settings? I tried doing that but it's telling me I have to reformat my external, which i cannot do.

Any advice? Kind of urgent. I'm headed to the Apple Store in a few hours...

QUOTE Thanks
