Unhappy Help needed with Formatting Macbook
I really need help. My macbook did this thing where it started to go crazy and all the settings went back to default. I restarted and everything was gone. Set back to default settings. It was still on the HD but it got moved. Almost like i created a new user. I lost all my safari bookmarks. All my passwords. Everything.. My lightroom catalogs wouldnt open anymore. Talked to a mac guy and he said to format my harddrive..I have an external so everything is back up.. Will i lose all of my programs when I format... like lightroom will i have to reinstall.??
    Your help is needed greatly..

Any other ideas about what is going on with my computer?

Did you rename your home folder? If you did that caused your problem. Rename it back and in then log out and back in again. you should be okay again.
