OS 10.5 - small easy question hopefully

on downloads stack when using the default view how do i make it so that i can have the folder i want on the top of that view instead of their picking??? srry plz help some 1

Mac Specs: 15" Unibody MBP (2009), White MB (2009), iMac G4
You can change it so it displays a folder instead of the top most icon in the folder. Right click on the stack and under "Display As" choose Folder instead of Stack.

Mac Specs: MBP, 2.0Ghz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, 1991 Powerbook 100, Gen 2 Nano, Gen 1 Touch
The stacks icon in the dock is dependent on the files within that stack. Essentially, the stack icon displays the first file alphabetically at the front, and other icons are then behind. You could always make a folder within the stack and make sure it is first alphabetically...?
