    Unhappy HELP!-Can't install fonts
So I am trying to install a font, and it gets a red circle with an x, instructing me not to install the font because serious problems were found. After opening it up to see what the problem was, the only red x circle was by "font name table", everything else had a check mark next to it. I REALLY need these fonts. How important is the "font name table" (I don't even know what that is) and should I really not install the font, or would it be ok to do so anyway??

I got them off a clients server, I have to have them for their job, or I'm about to lose the job. They said they have permission to put them on 5 computers and they've only put them on two.

    Thank you!

I was just using Font Book. But I just downloaded Linotype FontExplorer X and it loaded them and they are working.
Do you know why Font Book has an issue with them?

you did the right thing, Font Book is alright for a small font collection but Font explorer is way better if your font collection becomes larger.

One other thing you might want to consider

If you really want to manage your fonts well I suggest the suitcase (another font management tool - not free) guide to best font practices in OS X (the guide is free)

    Extensis - Downloads

Just substitute use Suitcase with use Linotype FontExplorer
