Mac Specs: 15" MacBook Pro w/ 2.4 GHz C2D, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB

I created a disk image to store secure files in. I did it as suggested by Ride in this thread. Should I be able to add new files to it and have it get bigger to be able to hold them? Right now, if I try to add some home movies, it says "not enough free space".
