Is it possible to go from 10.2.6 to 10.4Hi all,
Brand new to the forum to ask this obviously ancient question, but a question nonetheless.
My father is a frugal type, and hanging onto to one of the last iMac versions of the big bubble kind..before they switched to the monitor and dome base version..anyhow..he is currently running 10.2.6 and needs to upgrade to 10.4 (anything in Tiger) to run a DSL connection he'd like to get (finally!)
First off, his iMac is compatible as far as system requirements go..he has G3 processor, 400 MHz, at least 3GB of disk space, etc.
Can he upgrade from 10.2.6 to 10.4 without much hassle? Or will it require special firmware updates, etc.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

is that 3 gig of free disk space (I guess)
I would consider 512 meg of ram the minimum sensible amount to run tiger, you may possibly need a hard disk larger than the 10-15 gig one that I guess came with that system
Otherwise it will run OK
