Hello we are deploying 10 mac pro machines all running leopard. We would like to capture an image of each hard drive in case the machines failes we can rebuild it quickly. Each machine takes 10 or so man hours to install all the software and updates. The Disk Utility seems to work fine with a USB flash drive. We can capture and deplou w/o any problems. We ultimately want to get it working with a USB hard drive as we can store all the disk images on there. They will be about 20GB each. For some reason the hard drive option fails to capture each time. The process starts and then quickly finished at about 50%. We cannot deply that image as it seems corrupt. The bottom line is , why the USB flash drive work every time and the USB hard drive does not. Thanks
