Hi everybody,

I would be thankful if somebody help me with a strange problem I have.

I can not empty the trash because it has "strange name" :

If I do ls command its name is:
\342\200\255.\342\200\254Trash

and if I do cd with tab tab to see the list, it looks like:
â*.â¬Trash/

Actually I can remove it by "rm -rf *Trash" but it appears after restart.

Is it a virus or worm etc. ?

Thanks,
Alireza.

No I don't think so. I have never tried to install windows on my mac or change the default partition. I am a new Mac user. However, I have been a longterm windows and linux user. I am excited by the mac with respect to its speed and annoyed by such strange differences with linux. I you are expert please help me.

Thanks,
Alireza.

Hi,
I was playing around with rename it or delete it then creating, however I had tried such thing before, suddendly I found it is fixed. To be honest I could not understand what happened that it is now ok.

I think it can happen later again, so maybe we find out what is going on. for the moment thank you.

This is the stat after the fixing:

234881026 1753158 drwx------ 2 ghasemi staff 0 68 "Aug 10 09:44:59 2008" "Aug 10 09:44:59 2008" "Aug 10 09:44:59 2008" "Aug 10 09:44:59 2008" 4096 0 0 .Trash
