OS 10.5 - Strange items in Trash

I have the following in my trash which will not go away. They are dated December 31, 1903 at 7:00 pm

x.F;;.␀␀␀
/_ .

How do I remove them permanently? I have already tried secured trash...

Mac Specs: 2008 and 2011 15" mbps, late 11 iMac, iPhone 4s, and too many ipods and other stuff

Ultimately though it seems to be linked to having a windows partition on the machine. Not sure how or why though as I've never had one.

It appears that activating Windows through Parallels has resolved the issue. Must have been some junk left behind....
