Hi there and thank you for the help in advance. I am writing a java program and I need to backup my data within it. I am new to mac and I saved my backup to the desktop as Backup.zip. Then I converted the file to a dmg and tried to burn with the following commands:

hdiutil create -fs HFS+ -volname Backup -size 100m ~/Desktop/backup.dmg
hdiutil mount ~/Desktop/backup.dmg
ditto -rsrc -V ~/Desktop/Backup.zip /Volumes/Backup
hdiutil unmount /Volumes/Backup
hdiutil burn ~/Desktop/backup.dmg -noverifyburn -noeject

Everything works fine until I get to the burn command.. this is what terminal:
outputs:hdiutil: burn: "/Users/doxmin/Desktop/backup.dmg" not recognized - Resource temporarily unavailable
hdiutil: burn failed - Resource temporarily unavailable

I do not understand why the dmg file is hanging after the unmount. If I right click on the file, after the unmount, and go to file -> burn... everything works fine.
QUOTE Thanks
