Ok so I'm wondering how to get my macbook pro and my external monitor(not widescreen) to have the same image, but going both screens, can I do that? Here is the image I'm going to use if it makes any difference.

Nomad,

I have a Macbook, so I don't know how accessible the MBP's video card properties are, but at least on my PCs, I can access the nVidia cards properities screen and set it up so that 2 monitors can span the picture as well as mirror it or both have identical screens.

If you can access the video card properties, first look for using dual monitors then look for spanning the picture (or similar nomenclature)...

Hope I'm not mis-leading you.

PS, great picture, looks like a High Sierra pond.

Noel

yeah I have no problem doing this on the windows side, just can't figure it out on the mac side...

Thanks it's a 20min walk from the summer camp near Truckee that I work at. Really cool place and then 20 more min down from there is the SICKEST cliff jump since it gets bigger over the summer time but it is INCREADEBLY(sp?) DEEP. Like we had a guy w/ us who does skin diving and can hit 50ft w/ fins and he couldn't even see the bottom when he went down. That and the rock curves back so it is like 99.99% impossible to hit.

In the past I just took the picture into Photoshop and cropped it properly so that it was 2 separate pictures. Then when setting your background picture, you can pick a different picture for each monitor.
