I have a Macbook Pro and when i bought it it was like a month before or so when Leopard came out, which sucks.

Anyway, my boyfriend's mother has a new Macbook and she has Leopard, it came that way. She gave me the computer Mac OS X 10.5 installation that came with her computer. Will I be able to use that instead of going out and buy the Leopard upgrade?

Like Eric said, it will not work.

The gray restore disks are computer specific. You will need to purchase the retail "black disk" version of Leopard to install.
