OS 10.5 - Mail.app 3.3 "Notes"

I think apple gets an a+ for leopard. It's a stellar os upgrade. however, one feature that is so royally wrought with bugginess is "Notes" in Mail.app 3.3 Anyone else have problems with this? I make and edit a note a few times and then a few minutes later I'm wrought with like a dozen "clones" of the same note and multiple messages saying "Error: message could not be saved." over and over again for the same note!!! What the FUZZY BUNNY SLIPPERS? Do I have some pref configured incorrectly? What's going on?

Notes work fine for me using gmail...
