How do I get the desktop folders to show number of items inside? I've seen it before in screenshots. I got my Hard Drive to show available space but the folders don't show the contents inside. Look at my screenshot.

pull the folder you want down to the stacks, then you can see previews of folder contents

Mac is like a car, keep clean and up to date and it will give you many hours of good driving

what stacks? will it display the contents under the folder name on the desktop?

EDIT: Oh, they're alias folders. I guess they won't show it.

click on your desktop...
on the menubar, click View --> Show View Options
Check "show item info"

There you go...

Hope this helps
