OS 10.5 - How do I find my files????

Okay so I dragged and dropped my music files into a different folder, and when i went into that folder they werent there! However i know they are still on the hrd drive because it was 6 gigs of music and the hd storage space available is the same, can anyone tell me how to find them please??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mac Specs: 2008 and 2011 15" mbps, late 11 iMac, iPhone 4s, and too many ipods and other stuff

do a search by filename for one of the files in finder?

open up a finder window and type the file name in the search field.
