how do i set up my mac for a pc network.. i need to copy files off from pc to mac

can anyone provide me the instructions as to how i would go about to setup my mac so i can copy files off my pc running win xp pro on to a mac w/ osx

Honestly all I did was plug it (the Mac) into my switch. As long as you set your PC up for file sharing you should have no problems mounting the disk from your Mac. You can navigate to the PC using Finder.
