Hi all, I am new here and not very technically inclined. This place looks great and thought I would throw this problem I'm having out there and see what the pro's think.
Here goes. I bought a used Mac G5 desktop from CraigsList and am having some Master Password issues. I got the log in info and password from the previous owner and changed it over to a new one. Problem is, even though I successfully changed the password, the computer is not recognizing it. When I go to update a program, (like iTunes for example) it doesn't take the password, however, when I do not enter a password at all, and just hit ok, the update begins, but does not complete. I took a screen shot of what pops up when the at the end of the download.
What can be done about this? Any help is very much appreciated!!
Thanx!!!

Believe that message would indicate a bad download rather than anything to do with your password.

But, here's link for resetting the Master Password.

Thanx, It happens every time I try to update something. I was thinking about doing a clean install, but don't wanna loose the programs it came with. If I moved the programs to the second internal hard drive, did the clean install, then moved them back, would that work?
