OS 10.2 - Upgrading 2 iMac G3s

I have these 2 imac g3s and I planned to install osx on them since the person I got it from didn't format the hard drive and one needs to have an os installed on them. I planned to installed 10.1 or 10.2 because I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Would it be best to get tiger or leopard for the 2 imacs and upgrade their ram to 1gb?

Welcome to Mac-Forums, mikeml.

They aren't compatible with Leopard, that's for sure. The cut for Leopard is a G4 1GHz and faster. To make sure of what you can do with Leopard, go to Apple.com.
