I'm writing a paper and have several Word files open that I need to reference. I thought using Spaces would be a good way to separate them, but every time I move one open window to another Space, all the others get moved as well.

Is there any way to get around this? Is this true with multiple windows of all other programs?

I'm unsure you may want to try just using expose’ instead.

Could be just a word thing. Every other program I've tried with spaces so far has allowed me to separate the different windows in different spaces.

Word does have some bugs with Spaces. Make sure you have the latest updates (12.0.1 and 10.5.2) installed; some people report that that helps...

It seemed like everything was acting a little crazy. Maybe it was all the apps I was running: Word, Powerpoint, Safari, Adobe Reader, Mail. Hopefully it will run smoother in the future.
