Ok, a while ago I read on a thread how to set it so that the hard drive doesn't appear on your desktop. I have decided however, that I would like to put it back there. I did upgrade to Leopard a few weeks ago but I don't think it should have made any difference if much to where things in preferences are. Either I'm just blind or an imbecile or both. But, I can't for the life of me remember where that option is in preferences. So, can anyone tell me, please?

Sincerely, Kat.

not on my mac now, so i'm not sure, but is it in finder's preferences? (rather than system prefs)

Go to the finder

Finder > Preferences

You have tick boxes to show various volumes

Thank you. I had a feeling I wasn't remembering something correctly.
