???.crash

Was working in photoshop, iChat, Safari, Finder, and iTunes(not much)..everything was going just fine...and then, I clicked on Graphic converter in the dock..then, gradually the entire system froze. I still had my mouse(which was a spinning beach ball) but nothing else worked. I left it for a few minutes and then just held the power button.
It came up in Mac HD>Library>Logs>CrashReporter(btw...this is my first crash ever) as ???.crash

anyone know what this is?

May have over run the RAM. If you can, hit Apple option escape. Force quit the app most likely to be hanging the system. I like to go in terminal and type top and the app hogging CPU I kill, type kill PID where PID is the process ID

When I say the whole system froze up, I mean THE WHOLE SYSTEM...Noting worked other than my rather colorful, spinning mouse!
