Ok so before you could use Time Machine to backup to an Airdisk attached to an Airport Extreme Base Station I used a terminal hack to do it. The terminal hack went about doing it with a disk image and what not. So now I downloaded the firmware and the updates that allow me to do it without a hack but the hack still seems to be in effect... unless the legitimate way is the same as the terminal hack, can anyone help?
