HI I've been using the G5 for over three weeks now and I had seen this problem but after having installed the latest update (packages) from apple ...I can't seem to open The Mac Help app and the system preferences help also! What could I do to fix this problem???

These are the packages I downloaded:

2004-10-13 00:26:15 -0400: Installed "iSync" (1.5)
2004-10-13 00:26:27 -0400: Installed "iTunes" (4.6)

2004-10-13 00:26:52 -0400: Installed "iPhoto Update" (4.0.3)
2004-10-13 00:26:57 -0400: Installed "iPod Updater 2004-08-06" (3.0.2)
2004-10-13 00:27:07 -0400: Installed "Java 1.4.2 Update 2" (1.4.2 Update 2)
2004-10-13 00:27:13 -0400: Installed "Security Update 2004-09-07" (1.1)

Have you repaired permissions? - close all apps and log totally off. Log on, go in Finder, Applications. Utilities, Disk Utility. After the message -getting disk information- select volume (below the hard drive name -upper left corner). Just highlight it. Now look to the lower two things are there near the middle, verify permissions, repair permissions. Click repair permissions
