OS 10.4 - sound

i was listening 2 music on itunes and i heard a beep n the sound wasnt as strong as before
plz help

i'm not sure about the beep but you may have "sound check" enabled
this normalizes the volume of tracks sometimes making it sound softer than before
to change this go to preferences>playback & uncheck the "sound check" box
