    won't install in my G4

I am having trouble loading panther onto my powermac G4. The hard disk is blank. When the first disk goes in it installs and then says restart, but never seems to prompt for the 2nd or 3rd disk! I'm not very tech savvy and so apologise if this is a really dumb post! Can someone help?

I have just tried to use the software restore disks and disk 2 failed saying that the untitled disk may be it broken?

    Welcome to Mac-Forums, littlegems.

Looks like your restore disk might be scratched. Did you check the surface, see if it's clean or has been damaged somehow ?

One question - the system restore discs are the ones that actually came with the G4? Do not use System Restore discs from other machines. If the disc did come with the machine follow MHC advice or look for replacemen t CDs.
