I installed bootcamp and partitioned my HDD and installed windows xp. I now wish to completely get rid of the partition and return my HDD to its original state and then reinstall os x and return my computer to being ONLY A MAC. How do i do this?

Run the Bootcamp Setup Assistant again. It will give you an option to delete the bootcamp stuff.
