Hello, I've moved from IBM obviously and Im trying to learn Java. This may be the wrong Forum but here goes. Im building an app that has to monitor port 514. Because the iMac is Unix based, all Unix based OS's restrict ports <1024. This is of course the app, or YOU are not in root mode or have root access. Does anyone know a way to get root access to ports or give root access on Tiger 10.4?
Thanks
