Folder Redirection

I am trying to establish a folder redirection for the mac computer. I want it so when a user drops a file into the documents folder, it is copied to a remote destination also.

Folder Actions allow this. You can turn them on by right-clicking a folder and choosing Configure Folder Actions.

The AppleScript folder has example scripts that help in understanding how Folder Actions work.

Wow cool... you would need a folder action to fire off a process. Is the remote destination FTP, CIFS, AFP or just another folder on the same HD?

Probably an easier thing to do is schedule a rsync nightly.
