Digital signature for updating Mac application

I am already code sign the app, and i installed it,
now i am created an up grader for an existing app.
Before i upgrade the existing app,
whether up grader app is necessary to code sign or not.

Yes you have to code sign any new App bundle.
If your adding new elements to an existing App bundle, then the modified bundle has to be re code signed.
