What are you trying to do? We need more details. What about FTP are you trying to understand?

i want to write to my file on the server

What server - is this an FTP server that you've set up or that is hosted by someone else? Are you having difficulties or are you new to FTP?

If it's someone else's server, you should be able to simply login with the credentials that they provide and copy the files over.

Write how? In an application? If so, FTP isn't really the method to do so.

I'm going to move this to our development forum since it's a dev question.

What exactly is the issue? Does the FTP server work (can you write to it)? If so, have you coded in FTP support? If not, it looks like there's a library here that adds FTP support.
