What do you need Hydra for?

Well, you might start by running gunzip and tar -tvf then tar -xvf on the file. You may find a README file that helps.

I was thinking of the CAD/CAM software. It often lists such things in the README.

Open up terminal and type in the following:

Code:

$: tar -zxvf yourfile.tar.gz
$: cd yourfile/
$: ./configure
$: make && make install

Will extract and decompress your file, change to your directory, ./configure builds, make compiles and make install installs
