I'm trying to learn c++ with a book (C++ for dummies) and well, the problem is that I don't know how to run a piece of code on Mac... I've tried with Xcode 4.1 but I don't know how. I also have Text Wrangler but it just edits the code, it doesn't run it... Help!

Surely the book has a section on compiling and running code (if not, it's a terrible book). Regardless, it's easy to do from Xcode. In Xcode, simply click the run button in the top left hand corner. The output will appear in the bottom right hand corner under "All Output."

The book does describe a method to do it, but it is oriented to windows. And about Xcode, what kind of project do I have to make to use C++ code in there?

and thanks by the way

Create a C++ application - create a new project and select "Command Line Tool" > type "C++".
