    Specs:
    Mac Mini 2010 2.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 320M
    Write date and time to .txt in terminal
    HI, i just want to write the dat and time to a .txt file

    i tried "echo %date% %time% >> log.txt" (without quotation marks)
    but it just writes "%date% %time%"

    Can anyone help me?

    Try this:
    date > log.txt
