    Java Beginner Book?
    Anyone know a good sort of teach yourself Java beginner book? Or a book that teaches you the basics of programming?

    Personally I like the Sams teach yourself in 21 days, books it takes the time to explain why you are typing that word in and what it means. At the end of each chapter there is a quiz/test portion. Also just a note that these books are to teach you the basics so you can start to teach your self, not to meant to get you that high end java programmer job like every one like to think.
