Blue World announces Lasso Professional 7
September 9, 2003 - 11:16 EDT Blue World Communications today announced Lasso Professional 7, a major upgrade to its Web application server product for building and serving data-driven Web sites. Lasso Professional 7 adds support for embedded MySQL, Unicode, SOAP, image manipulation, data caching, and more. The new version supports both Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. It was compiled using GCC 3.3 with optimized support for the PowerPC G5 processor in addition to providing support for existing G3/G4 processors. Lasso Professional 7 works with machines running Apache 1.3, Apache 2 or WebSTAR V, and is scheduled for release next month for US$999. Registered users of Lasso Pro 6, Lasso Pro 5 or Lasso Web Data Engine 3.x can upgrade for $399, $499 and $599, respectively.
